There was a communal council meeting today, as there is everytwo weeks. Nothing out of the ordinary, just maintence propositions and housekeeping. We are just one of thousands of communal living sites, established since the 2075 whereby money and bureacracy were abolished in favor of borderless egalitarian society.
It's funny, we actually learned about that in class just the other day, When the COVID-92 pandemic went global in 1993, MUDs quickly became the only method for people to work and learn from home, as well as connect with others through MUDs built around common interests. This text-based communication decentralized physical appearance and allowed a full range of expression dependent on the situation and cyberspacial context. This dissociation and splitting of public identity gave the space for political parties to disintegrate. Afterall, interacting with all kinds of people with various identities in an anonymous fashion tends to blur the lines in the sand between “us” and “them”.
